Lunch: Free Chicken & mushroom thing at Lloyd's Register - 24 Peaks team seminar today - wow. So, here's the deal - 3am start both days, 14 hours and 10 mountains on the first day, 10 hours and 14 mountians on the second day....WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THINGS HOLY HAVE I DONE!!!!
Seriously, a mate of the olds (who is a marathon runner was quoted to have said: "Dan's doing the 24 Peaks? Thats HARD!")
So, next I shall be trawling the scummy waters of EBay for a cheap pair of walking poles, apparently most of th estrain on your body is on your knees, and having a pair of poles can take 30% of your weith off of your legs. Which over the course of 14 hours walking is quite a bit!
Personally, if I has a pair of Poles, I'd get them to carry me, takes off 100% of the weight off!
